Hi Nikki,

I live in the South of England and just over a month ago was diagnosed with Aspergers. There is a charity run in the south-west called "Dimensions For Living". There are support groups across the area and it is run by a very nice and helpful lady who has helped me tremendously. The lady who runs the charity also does free counselling and has helped me to make claims for benefits. In the South West my NHS psychologists is familiar with Aspergers and perhaps your friend could see him. I think psychotherapy plays an important part in learning to live with Aspergers although the SSRIs remain commonly used medications as Aspergers is milder form of Autism which may be caused by a deficit of serotonin. I know we have some on the SSRI's and one also one on Thyroxine. I can give you lots of details. If you want to contact me for further details to pass onto your friend you can at remeron@supanet.com.
