Good doctors will know augmentation strategies
to help get a response without aborting a medication
trial due to side effects/lack of response. But first
you really want to wait out a few weeks to see if the
side effects subside/response occurs. If they don't
Geno's strategy of adding Remeron (possibly at a high dose)
may substantially alleviate some of the discomfort and
give an additional anti-depressant kick. My feeling is
this is better to do than aborting the medicine all
together and starting over. Just my opinion.good luck

If you aren't feeling significantly better after a few weeks on the drug, tell your doctor you want to change. I have been way too patient and compliant with such things in the past (not wanting to be a bother to my doctor, etc.) and have stayed on drugs suffering side effects but no efficacy for much too long.
