Does Klonopin decrease dopamine?

Posted by JaneB on March 9, 2002, at 12:39:18

Hi,
Do I need dopamine? Dr. says Wellbutrin helps dopamine.
I have had good success with Klonopin .5mg for sleep, neck pain and severe anxiety. Celexa @ 20mg helps depression a lot. But I am energyless. Feel like sleeping in the daytime. Hard time finishing projects or feeling joy. Dr. suggested Wellbutrin 100mg as a supplement. Last year when I tried it I felt that I needed more klonopin to control anxiety and got worried and stopped it. I am considering trying it again. Any advice? I want to be more productive but still prevent insomnia and anxiety. I am in my late 50's and have a lot of responsibilities right now and can't risk a setback. I have tried reading posts but would appreciate a little feedback. You are all sooooo great! Thanks
JaneB
