Shelli: How's it going. Now that I am diagnosed Chronic Fatigue (which actually makes a lot of sense given that fatigue is my major symptom and my hypersensitivity to drugs), I have been reading more in this area. A lot of the drugs used are similar to those used for depression and anxiety, plus there are all the supplements and antiviral approaches. Anyway, long story short I read about anxiety and aggitation in one of these articles and (Dr. Chaney) was saying essentially that you have to stop the aggitation (overstimulation from the outside world) by using Klonopin or Neurontin or whatever works and that it is critical because once the destabilization caused by the aggitation starts you have brain cell death going on. All sort of ties into the kindling theory of anxiety and I was thinking pain also. Once I started reading in this area, I was amazed at how well I fit the CFS profile. I would encourage you again to look into CFS or FMS because of the pain you talk about--you have described your depression as being like chest pain and chest pain is one of the symptoms listed for FMS. Depression, CFS, FMS are all syndromes--just clusters of symptoms so who knows where depression and anxiety associated with Chronic Fatigue begins and immune system disorders associated with depression begins.
Thinking about you kindly,
Lorraine
