Im just gonna do ECT and not worry about it and see where things go. I have given the thought of starting an MAOI when Im inpatient this time, I might be able to handle it inpatient if I go the first few days inpatient on an MAOI. Just dont know yet.

Old School

Wow, I wish you the best of luck. I am not very well informed on ECT, and the risks. I do however, have a 9 (just about 10) year old son with refractory epilepsy, he has had seizures since he was 6 months old. Actually, he has been under very good control over the past few years. Ted has major cognitive issues etc..so I am unable to ask him about his experiences. He will just tell me about Barney instead :) I guess I am amazed at your bravery and willingness, because seizures are such a tough thing to witness.

I do not have depression or any illness that would require ECT, so I am not fit to comment on your choice. I just hope it is the best choice for you.
