The good news is that most people do not gain much weight from AD's. I think that weight loss is more common than weight gain with AD's. Remeron might be an exception.

For people who do gain weight on AD's, I have read that the reason is not known. It could be due to increasing the appetite or it could be due to a slower metabolism rate.
