In reply to non-medical marijuana works well too! (nm) » summer66 , posted by beardedlady on April 7, 2002, at 6:22:22
Hey bearded lady. Thank you for the reply regarding marijuana. I live in Berkeley, and I have a script , which was given to me by a psychiatrist who has been researching the healing power of weed for 25 years. He knows that this incredible plant is good for more then just AIDS' patients. He has written books, and speaks at debates regarding the legalization of marijuana. We have many "dispenseries" in Northern California. I go to a place that caries about 25 different strains, and they are all high grade. They carry food, and hash oils (that one could put on food, or cook with." if you don't want to smoke it. Also, for all of those trying to quit benzo's- after seven years of addiction, I was able to come off valium because marijuana eased all of the awful withdrawl symtoms. It will greatly reduce ANY withdrawl symtoms. WHENEVER I am depressed and crying, I smoke. When I get nausea due to the medications, I smoke. When I have to go the grocery store, I smoke, this way I won't have an anxiety attack. I used to leave groceries in the cart, and run out of the store, untill smoking changed that. (I also have social anxiety), when I am really stressed, fatiged, angry, hypomanic, suicidal or anything else that is causing me extreme discomfort, all I have to do is smoke. Unlike benzos, pot is not addicting. I actually never smoked untill my mid 20's, when I went off valium, I just wish everyone would get over the stigma that comes with smoking marijuana. Alchohol kills, and is addicting. Marijuana just makes you happy and relaxed. Pot is the best antidepressent I have ever found, and it works immediatly!
I am sorry for any misspellings: I am coming off an SSRI, plus I have not slept in three days due to my rash from lamictal. You can't think straight when first coming off of AD's.
I am going to the effexor board next. Everyone says the withdrawls are the worst. Marijuana
could really help these people. When I got off valium, I stayed inside and smoked for a week. I had tried to quit before, but the withdrawl was HORRIBLE. This time, it was painless! To everybody out there, marijuana could enhance your life. It is only a weed, and It is natural. No chemicals, No addiction, No side effects-exept the munchies. God put this medicinal plant on the earth a long time ago. There are so many lies told about marijuana, probably so kids won't use it. Do the research yourselves. Go to pro marijuana sites and read about weed! You may be surprised at how harmless it is. I am a severe manic depressive with social phobia,
and I have finally found help, simply from a dried plant!
Pot only effects memory and cognition while high. My husband is a managing architect with a huge company. He is the smartest, most together person I know. He smokes every night, and his work is not effected at all. In fact, he is constantly praised for his good work. I have an A average in school, and I smoke every night!
