Hi Katrina,
I have the best references about Nardil both for treating and preventing stubborn depression and as a mild but enduring stimulant in your life.
I was on Nardil during a few years and had a really great time then, I mean without any depressive relapses (and I was then doing a very stressing work). My optimal dose (found by trial and error) was 75mg/d together with a (mild) hypnotic I suspect was never used in the US though it was commonly prescribed in Europe mostly in the 70s and the 80s, namely Rohypnol (flunitrazepam)(1mg or 2mg at bedtime as needed, rarely 3mg) and no anxiolytic at the time. Please notice I'm 85kg, so what was for me 75mg/d may be worth not more than 60mg/d for you...
If you are or have been recently taking a TCA or SSRI (or even some novel AD) and you decide to switch to N., just to be on the safe side, you'd perhaps better see first your preferred 'shrink' to make the transition safely to Nardil. And please don't eat any aged/cured cheese while taking N. I forgot about and had once my heart feeling like it was going to explode, beating both quickly and strongly, that during some 15 minutes or so. It didn't though. This is due to 'tyramine' present in the cheese ('tyros' in Greek means 'cheese') and is appropriately known as 'the cheese-effect'.
Hope this helps.
Wish you all the best,Iago
P.S. One last thing: much alcohol with N. may make you kind of aggressive to others, but you can safely drink socially. I.
