> Hi Cindy,
Thanks so much Judy, for the encouragement. We are not pregnant yet, but desperately want to have another baby -- I have a 2 1/2 year old, and I'm getting up there in years -- almost 38.It's a tough decision ... did you go off Klonapin BEFORE you got pregnant, or after you found out you were pregnant? (before you got back on it.)
I've tried going off meds in order to try to get pregnant, but it's not good for me, my husband or my daughter -- and like you said, probably detrimental to a developing fetus as well.
I am finally accepting the fact that I am bipolar II -- my doc said yesterday that it can manifest itself after having a baby (I have always struggled with depression, but the huge shifts in agitation/fatigue started after having my daughter, and having the postpartum depression/anxiety.)
Thanks again, Judy. I'll keep you posted ...

If you're taking neurontin for bipolar or anxiety, those disorders are a lot worse on the developing fetus than the med. Talk to your doc, increase your folic acid to 800u (ug, mg can't remember) and if I can help in any way please post. Take care, Judy
