Weight Gain on Anti-Psychotic Drugs

Posted by Roo on April 30, 2002, at 9:04:58

I know that weight gain is a common side effect
for anti-psychotic drugs, but is it possible even
at tiny, micro doses. I take just 2 mg's of navane
a night. I've put on 15 pounds in a year and a half,
and I can't figure out what's causing it (my eating
habits haven't changed--except that I eat slightly
LESS) and I work out like a banshee, especially the
last 4 months, and the weight won't budge. I also take
lamictal, but it doesn't seem to cause weight gain for
many other people. Just trying to figure out what the
culprit is.
