Three separate times, I've tried to do without medications. No more. I've come to accept it that I just don't function well without & won't fool around without again. The times I did without were pretty horrible for me & it took SO long to taper off some of them, like Paxil & Luvox.
People who are on an ever-changing cocktail are generally that way from a doctor who doesn't know enough (at least, about their case). It may take quite a while to find a combo that does work well but patience & perserverence is needed. Too often, a doctor will switch meds (sometimes on a patient's insistence) without fine-tuning it enough.
Adding adrafinil to my cocktail finally enabled me to stop Paxil completely (I use Celexa only now with my adrafinil). It stopped the discontinuation symptoms completely & they've never returned now as they always did before.
