Can TSH-level be decreased by Lithium

Posted by Mar on May 19, 2002, at 3:34:51

Hi,

I have normal TSH, FT4 and T3 levels. 30 years ago I was operated on an thyroid-adenoma. It was active then. I've been treated with Lithium for about 25 years for depression. My daughter thinks I have thyroid-problems, but the bloodtests say no.
Can the levels of thyroidhormones be decreased by the Lithium? My TSH is 1,4 FT4 14 T3 1,6
Thanks.

Mar
