In reply to Paxil to Prozac, but having anger outbursts...., posted by Pattisun on June 23, 2002, at 11:54:25
Hi Pattisun,
I get this way from nearly all anti-depressants. Klonopin helps as needed, but it really helps if my pdoc augments with an atypical anti-psychotic. Depakote also helps me. Will you be stopping all of your meds? If so, maybe you should stick it out if you are about to stop or talk to your doc about taking risperdal until you stop the prozac. Risperdal has been the best for me, but that's just me.
Hang in there,
Jon> The good news is I am at about 3 mg of Paxil FINALLY--after trying to wean off of this stuff for almost three years.

I've noticed in the past three weeks (since I've taken the Prozac) that I am more and more totally over-reacting and going off on these really violent rages. This is totally NOT me. My instincts say its from the Prozac. I've been taken extra Klonopin to keep myself calmer, but now I'm getting a little worried. I guess I'll call the doctors tomorrow.
