Zoloft 50mg to 100mg

Posted by Preston on July 18, 2002, at 18:07:51

I have been taking Zoloft for a week and a half now and I just switched from 50mg to 100mg. My doctor told me to switch to 100mg after only five days, but I told her that the 50mg was making me feel a little better and I wanted to wait a little longer. However, yesterday I started feeling like it wasn't working anymore so today I went ahead and took the 100mg. It is the evening now and all day I have felt just like I did before I starting taking anything. What is the longest time that it has taken for 50mg to completely work on anyone? I have just been reading that 100mg seems to work often when 50mg does hardly more than make you drowsy. That is the main reason why I have upped to 100mg, but I am sort of afraid that I may just be wasting the Zoloft by upping to 100mg because I just did not wait long enough for the 50mg to work. If anyone has any advice or related problems, I would be glad to read it/them. Thanks.
