I took Ritalin for 5 years or so and now take Adderall XR. As far as rebound, feeling low when the dose wears off, Adderall extended release is better as it lasts longer.
I can't really explain the difference, but I liked Ritalin, just had to dose it more often. Ritalin can make you less anxious than Adderall can but a lot of this differs between individuals.
If you go with Ritalin, go name brand only. The time released sucks and a lot of the generics are terrible.
Concerta would be an option as well as Wellbutrin SR. Don't waste your time with Provigil, trust me.Good luck, Tim. Those looong days can be tough.
