ZYPREXA

I'm a bipolar II and currently taking Effexor XR, Risperdal, and Depakote. My doctor says Zyprexa is better for bipolar so he is switching me from Risperdal to Zyprexa. I have heard that Zyprexa causes weight gain- it is any more than what Risperdal caused? Has anyone had a positive experience on this drug? I'm so scared to take something new because I'm not doing very well- was hospitalized last week.
Any insight you could offer would be appreciated!
