I bought one last year (I had made the promise to myself the winter before!) and it is from Northern Lights. It was on sale when I bought it (online)--it is just a basic one, but I looked into which boxes provided how much light at what distances and at what prices, and this one won out because it delivers 10000 lux at 27 inches for I forget how much exactly but it was on the low end of the ones I looked at.

I also got a dawn simulator which I LOVE! Waking to light is so much less jarring for me than waking to sound. It has been broken for a while, and I keep forgetting to send it back for replacement (I called them and they said "no problem"). The dawn simulator is called "New Dawn" and I bought it from Apollo. I also bought a desk lamp that can turn up to provide tx light--it delivers 10000 at 15 inches, which is too close really, but I have it at work as a back up. The light also detaches from the desk lamp base, so I suppose I could use it as a travel light, too. (I'd like to see if I could plug it in at the gym and have it facing me when I'm on the treadmill or eliptical machine!)
