Yes, low testosterone is one of the 3 health issues that cured my "depression". Two years ago after having discovered that I was definitely hypoglycemic and had done everything health wise to fell better, I still felt bad. One day I saw a show regarding women - depression - lack of libido - it discussed the effects of low testosterone in women, and the common occurance of this now in women in particular that had had two or more children. I got the book "Okay, so I don't have a headache by Cristina Ferrare" and it really made since - she speaks of how her low testosterone levels had made her depressed, have major sugar cravings, and a low libido etc. Anyway, I had mine checked - yep it was almost nil. Fortunately, by getting off of my BC pills, mine was able to return to normal levels. But YES, I do think that this can cause major effects of depression. Doctors don't typically do this test unless requested, so ask!(Please note that just fixing this did not make me completely well, eating properly to cure my hypoglycemia, then finding out that I had Narcolepsy as well and having that treated finally was the answer - so don't be surprised if it takes more than one solution to make you better.)
