Valium induced anxiety??Help me benzo users!

I FINALLY 'started' benzos yesterday for my severe anxiety d/o. I took 2mg valium-was so excited for I thought that relief was finally in sight.
Well, it made me More nervious and anxious. i felt wierd, wired, kept having anxiety attacks last night and felt stoned and sedated, but still couldn't sleep. Today I feel like hell and my anxiety is through the roof! I am shaky, sweaty, fumbling with everything. I feel so strange, spaced out and nervious I hate it!!!!!
Does anyone have similar reactions to valium? I hate to "up" the dose because I already am a zombie. A nervious and anxious zombie. I am on my way to a job interview right now and I hope I don't blow it cause of this!
AnYone have advice or similar experience here ?
