I would get a good psychologist and a psychiatrist. You need to talk out these problems with someone. Your brain is not damaged. Go get some help you'll feel a lot better.

You need to look out for yourself and not your parents. If you are having problems don't discuss them with people that won't listen or you cannot trust.

I remember spending a 2 years talking to a great psychologist and psychiatrist. They helped me through a lot of issues with a dysfunctional family. There is nothing wrong with medication.

If you felt better, why did you stop? If I am going to have a disease I'll take Panic Disorder over some of the others out there including cancer. You are lucky that you had 2 good years, some people never get that. Additionally, it took me 4+ years until I had the brains to see a psychologist and then psychiatrist. I have kids and I want to be the best I can be for my family.

Accept that you might have depression or something else and get treated. If you do not get help than you have no right to complain.

Herbs are wonderful on Pizza, not for a treatment for depression. Go with something that has been developed and tested.

Good Luck,

Jon

> I come from a family with a lot of mental problems. When I talk with my family about depression they ignore me and change the subject. My Dad says work if I am having problems but I never feel like doing anything when I am depressed. I am a zombie and cannot do anything. I took paxil for 2 years and it changed my life around. The best 2 years of my life. I decided to come off paxil because I didn't want to be on it for the rest of my life. So my doctor took me off it without knowing about the withdrawals. I had severe withdrawl problems since then that never went away. I believe this drug has damaged my brain. I was shaking all the time like a recovering heroin addict. I am worse off now than before. I refuse to take medication now. Do herbs help for major depression?
