Zopiclone Discontinuation and Withdrawal

A friend of mine has been on Zopiclone for several months, and is having her prescription arbitrarily yanked, no tapering, cold turkey. She lives in the UK, where changing p-docs is evidently a lot more difficult than it is here in the New World, and pretty much has to put up with it. Does anyone know if there's anything that can be done to alleviate withdrawal symptoms from this drug if and when she develops them ???
