I had a tubal two years ago, five years after my youngest was born. This was my second time under general anesthesia and I had depression for several weeks after both surgeries, but not so severe that I needed a change in medication. I have been on antidepressants constantly since my youngest was born am not exactly always stable mood-wise, but in general, I don't think the tubal has changed anything. I am not bipolar. I have mostly major depression in partial remission with occasional brief breakthrough episodes and some generalized anxiety.
