My psychiatrist believes that Xanax is superior to klonopin as Klonopin [in his opinion] causes depression in many people. I was successful on Prozac and Xanax for quite some time. This combo worked well for me. Now I am totally off the Prozac and am on Xanax [alazopram] for insomnia and rare anxiety [now]. It's something to think about and discuss with your doctor. Good luck.
