It's common to be both tired and suffer from insomnia. The two almost always go tother, I think. Lack of sleep makes you tired, but tiredness doesn't help you sleep or put you to sleep.
You shouldn't use klonopin as a sleep aid, according to my pdoc. It "collapses your sleep architecture," whatever that means. But I like the metaphor of sleep having an architecture... It results in less fulfilling and refreshing sleep.
There are much better things to take for sleep, such as shorter-acting benzodiazepines, Sonora (no, not Snora)... ask your pdoc. Probably even benadryl and chlorphenaramine are better sleep aids...
