Have been in the same boat. I'm on 175 mg and don't feel any motivation to exercise. I have a running partner though and he drags me out the door. Once I get out there and get my adrenaline pumping I'm ok though. In other words, I don't think the lamictal is physically inhibiting me (although I might get a little more dehydrated easily), but more or less it's more of a mental lack of motivation.
On the other hand, I had just as much of a motivation problem off meds since the depression got in the way.
Try tactics like meditation and visualization tactics before you exercise. Try doing it in the morning as well. I feel a lot more energy in the morning than I do with other meds (for instance, the SSRIs made me exhausted in the morning and so I could only exercise in the afternoon). For me, other ways to psych myself up has been music. I run with a walkman and before I go out running I spend a little time meditating, stretching, and listening to some good music. After about five minutes I feel like Rocky and am ready to bust out the door. For me it's just about getting my adrenaline ready and then I'm good to go.
good luck.
