I don't know about Paxil or lithium, but I took parnate while having ECT, and afterwards, and had no problems with it. I had about 20 treatments spaced out over four months or so, and it helped me tremendously to overcome a near catatonic depression. Six months later I had a relapse, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the original, and overall, ECT seems to have helped me a great deal.
I'm glad you were able to talk to your doctor about what you needed, and just that you know you need help right now. Good luck with everything,
