In reply to Viagra - anyone had any luck with it?, posted by Joanie on November 19, 2002, at 11:41:10
Joanie,
I don't have any personal experience with Viagra, but the people I've talked to who it works for love it. One of my former pdocs prescribed it for every aspect of sexual dysfunction. Pot can't help and could be contributing to the problem. Physically, good sex has a lot to do with blood flow. If he doesn't already, he could try focusing more on how he can affect you and less on his performance. There are herbs that you could try as an alternative like ginkgo biloba and yohimbe. Yohimbe probably works the best out of the herbs, but it is not without risk and side-effects and you should ask your doc before purchasing it. Ginkgo biloba is pretty safe (as far as I know), but I believe any herb should be added with your docs OK. Ginkgo will take 4 weeks or so to have an effect, yohimbe should work right away. A couple of other natural things he could eat to possibly help him get "there" are fortified breads and cereals high in niacin. Niacin is essential for secreting histaimine which triggers sneezes and orgasms. There is also chocolate which contains stimulants that make your skin very sensitive to touch, and of course, it contains small amounts of the drug our bodies release when we fall in love.
Good Luck,
Jon
