Hi Nikki:
Yeh, it goes away. I stopped taking Celexa in August. I had been on it for 8 months. The worst symptom for me was the electrical shock thing. It was like someone was poking me every 10 seconds with a cattle prod. Celexa was the first anti-depressant I had ever taken, so I had no past experience to go by. I remember when the electrical shock thing got really bad I would ask close friends if they could notice it. I thought for sure I was twitching or shaking weird. Apparently though, no-one else could notice it, I was truly convince everyone else could notice it. I did get use to it though. It took about 1 month for it to stop, but if I got really tired I would notice the electrical shock like feeling even after 2 months of stopping Celexa.
There were other symptoms that bothered me, but I don't really remember what they were anymore. So it will get better. Go to your party and try to enjoy it, or at least go through the motions of enjoying it, and before you know it, you will be enjoying it. Remember "this to shall pass".
Good Luck.
