Long-term use may equal tarditive dyskensia, which means you're be wailing your arms and legs out like a maniac all day long. And it's not reversible.
Are you sure Klonopin or others aren't effective at higher doses? I'm really shocked anyone's prescribing antipsychotics for anxiety, I can never believe that. How long have you been in treatment? Maybe like after 5 years of trying everything, and a huge amount of disabling effects still going on, AND CBT has been exausted, but I mean, this is an antipsychotic, it's not something you casually pop- it can produce extrapyramidal side effects, which is a funny way of saying it'll force a part of your head or such to move in a certain way and cut off circulation to your respiratory tract so you'll die if not treated for it within 12 hours with a med only a psych ward would have. If you're lucky, you'll get this will you're in a psych ward, and while you're awake, so you don't sleep through it into your death.
Yeah, makes benzos seem like Pez, doesn't it?
