> Hi, Im wondering if anyone has had success with any dopamine drugs off the beaten path (not wellbutrin, parnate, ritalin, dex, etc...) I am looking for something potentially useful for dysthymic kind of depression + social phobia (not your typical sp, seems more da related to me) Stimulants were great but pooped out and caused insomnia.

Mirapex has been used with success as an augmenting agent. Search for "Mirapex depression" with google for clinical data on it.
Other dopamine agonists :
Cabergoline, Ropinirole, Pergolide, Bromocriptine, Lisuride.
The agents above like any other psycho-active meds should be handed carefully and always under a doctor's supervision. Mirapex can make you suddenly sleepy, which might be dangerous if this happens while you're driving your car or in other situations requiring constant alertness. Talk to your pdoc!

P.S.

If the drugs you already tried pooped out there's a possibility you should be taking some other drug in order to achieve and mantain the dopamine-enhancing effect.

Good luck
