Does this sound rational?

Posted by denise528 on January 12, 2003, at 12:04:15

Hi,

I've said this over and over but here goes again, antidepressants used to work really well for me, now they don't they just make me apathetic and anxious. It scares the hell out of me that the ADs which used to make me feel so much better now make me feel so awful.

The only tablet that seems to work is Zyprexa. I am so grateful for Zyprexa as it has given me a lifeline to hang onto but I don't want to take it for the rest of my life. I don't mind taking ADs for the rest of my life (f they'd only work) but feel uneasy about taking APs

I've heard that ECT can sometimes help antidepressants work again and was wondering if anyone knows if there are any studies which prove this.

Does it sound irrational to be prepared to have ect and yet balk at the thought of having to take antipsychotics?

I just want the SSRIs to work again like they used to.

Denise
