Nardil Patch: When or If ?

The latest news I have read about a possible
MAOI patch, that may be released as soon as 2003 or 2004, involves the use of the medication, Selegiline, a MAO-B (dopamine) agent rather then Nardil or Parnate which target MAO-A (Serotonin and Epinephrine)the classical antidepressant agent targets.
Anyone have any ideas why this is so ?
