I'm a 20 year veteran of imipramine, and have found that the sedating characteristics never go entirely away. I consider that a bonus because I take my imipramine (300 mg) all just before bed. So even through breakthrough episodes of depressions I've always been able to sleep soundly.

When I first started taking imipramine I did experience morning hangover but that passed in pretty short order.

Hope that's some help,

Britt
