Lexapro: upping the dosage

Posted by teriwynn on January 27, 2003, at 16:08:36

I have been on Lexapro for about three months or so, and after the initial side effects and feeling pretty good overall, I've suffered a "setback" so my pdoc has upped my dosage. I've been taking 10 mg and she has advised me to go up to 15 mg for a week or so and then to 20 mg. My prescription is 20 mg tablets. In order to take 15 mg, I'd have to cut them in half and then cut the halves in half again. What a pain. Do you think I could just go straight from 10 mg to 20 mg without suffering dramatic side effects? Anyone gone from 10 mg to 20 mg directly?
