Paxil Pamelor OK together?

I'm currently on Paxil (60mg) which has pooped out. My PDoc is tapering me down to 30mg and then adding (a week later) 30mg of Pamelor. My last PDoc had a nasty habit of prescribing med combos that would have bad interactions - so I'm a bit paranoid now. I've looked up on the net and I know that Paxil inhibits Pamelor metabolisation - but my doc has taken this into account with the dosage of the Pamelor.
Has anyone else been on this combo (and what dosage?) or have any comments?
