> Well, I have made up my mind, to an MAOI. I just am scared to death about weaning off celexa and wellbutrin. I mean wellbutrin should not be a big deal but I have been on 40 mg of celexa for almost two years. . . . just not working the way it used to. Now, I have to hope that my pdoc will let me, if he doesn't I know another pdoc who almost certainly will prescribe one.
Use any doc who will precribe it! It's worth it.
With the Celexa...I was on Zoloft for 3 years, weaned off it once -- wasn't any real probs for a month, then big withdrawal kicked in. I was on it 2nd time for around 6 months. Weaned off it in a weak (from 25mg-0mg), had a two weak break and started Nardil. Dandy as candy.> Do you have to have your Blood Pressure tested before you go on one?
Yeah, that's a good idea. Take it an hour or two after your first dose also, to see how it affects your BP.
> Any helpful hints for the weaning off period?
Do the Celexa wean over a 2 and a halk week period, I would think. I could be wrong, however.
> Finally, Parnate or Nardil? Leaning towards Nardil because I have a strong anxiety component to my depression. Oh well, let's hope for the best.
Nardil without a doubt. Parnate is always there if you need it.
