Nardil for bi-polars?

I was diagnosed as bi-polar, typeII about 15 years ago and have had varying degrees of success with SSRIs. Recently, they stopped working for me and my Dr put me on Parnate. (he has recommended an MAOI from day 1, but i was reluctant due to side-effects) Parnate was a nightmare, giving me acute anxiety, insomnia and overall malaise. Dr now wants to try Nardil and i would love to hear from anyone who has been treated with it for bi-polar depression.
