Good luck. I think bethanecol is a bad bet though. Bethenacol increase choline levels and thereby increases periphereal acetycholine. Ineffecive in Alzheimer's disease because it doesn't cross the blood brain barrier. I don't think MAOIs affect acetycholine however. The problem most likely has something to do with increase serotonin. Worth a try of course, especially when one already has the script.
