wow-thank you for sahring. I am having similar effects. I take Effexor-Xr 75mg in the am, I've gone back on it for the last 2 days and yawn yawn yawn. When I was previously on it, I remember that that side effect went away with time, as well as the "restless sleep" you speak of. After I got past the initial first 2 weeks- AOK I have had no weight gain from it-never did. All SSRI's made me gain-even Luvox for my racing thoughts. I'm wondering if taking Effexor, Lamictal, Klonopin, and Seroquel ALL at night would help me??? Should I ask my doc? rthank you for making such a great point here-I would have never thought about taking the Effexor at night. I hope this helped:)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I've had a problem with being just exhausted on Effexor. I was yawning all day and felt as if I was in a cloud, unable to concentrate at work, and my sleep was very restless. I didn't want to tstop taking Effexor because it has really helped with my depression and I've had no weight gain, which happened with other anit-depressents.
I switched from taking my Effexor in the morning to taking it before bed. No more yawning all day, I'm able to concentrate better and I'm sleeping much more soundly, none of the vivid half awake dreams. I hope this helps with some of you who are having simular side effects.
