I had to swith to a new pdoc due to insurance purposes last spring. Finally someone who really listens to me and is willing to trial Parnate.

Hi Laura - I've always loved the fall too. I wish I could find a place that was like fall all year long. I've never been fond of the spring. The meds you list are familiar to me except imipramine, klonopin, and lamictal. My daughter has been on all you list except the above. She's also been on Paxil, Effexor, Zoloft, Celexa, Ritalin, Risperdal, Geodon, and Remeron. She's been on Geodon since late October and started Remeron about two weeks ago. It made her sleep 15+ hours a day at first but recently lifted her depression some. She's also on Prozac but it's not doing anything.
Many of the symptoms you list are exactly what she has and she's also been psychotic in the past. The Geodon stopped that thankfully. But her depression is relentless. She's also got the leaden feelings and social anxiety you have.
She has another appointment this week and he'll probably up the Remeron. She has a good relationship with him and he's knowledgable. Like so many others, she's had some bad experiences with doctors too. I remember a guy on another board who said he got better treatment at Midas Muffler than he did from one doctor. Unfortunately all too true sometimes.
So, have you tried both Parnate and Nardil? Were you able to start the Parnate again already? I hope it works well for you soon. Have you had depression long?
All the best - Carol
