Zyprexa does affect both appetite and metabolism.
A couple of recent studies have shown that Axid A.C can lessen the risk of weight gain, as it binds to the H2 receptors, Glucophage a medication for Type 2 diabetes, also has been thought to work, and some Dr's are prescribing it to prevent Zyprexa weight gain, or to help patients lose the weight.

I recently started Zyprexa and after many years and many medications I'd have to say its been a miracle for me. I'm only taking a small dose, but I refuse to take risks with my weight.
I managed to get my Dr to prescribe Glucophage for me and I will let you know if it works.

Also I will try and find the links to the studies
or you can just Google with Zyprexa and Glucophage in the search, and the article is in the top 3 results I think.

Good luck.
