ACE, read the following. I think this may be your answer. FWIW, I don't see Lithium being very helpful for your OCD but I hope you are presently surprised. If you want my opinion on what you should do about your OCD, email me at jsmith121@yahoo.com -- you may not like my answer, though.

I take 15-30 mg hydrocodone whenever I can get my hands on it (which isn't very often), and it's amazing how drastically it reduces obsessive thinking. No other drug, licit or illicit, can do this for me. I wonder if there is a relation between the brain's opiod system and OCD. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?
