Yes, I've heard a little about Trileptal because my pdoc was considering putting me on it! Apparently it is a *new and improved* version of Tegretol, which is a mood stablizer, analagous to how Lexapro is an new version of Celexa. They've altered the chemicals a little bit to make Trileptal more efficient than Tegretol, like they did with Lexapro/Celexa.

Anyway, my pdoc decided against trying me on Trileptal because I am allergic to Tegretol and he felt that since this is basically Tegretol with some chemical changes (at least that is the impression I got), I would probably be allergic to it as well.

So, you've asked about a mood stabilizer (Trileptal) and an anti-psychotic (Abilify), both of which are very new on the market and have very *good* side effect profiles because they are very targeted to specific brain receptors.
