Strattera, stimulant tolerance build-up

Posted by JKNS on March 30, 2003, at 21:13:13

I'm a 26 year old male and Istarted using Strattera about a week ago, after having used Adderall for about 5 years. About a year ago the Adderall lost a lot of effectiveness. Since then I've been bouncing between different stimulants, all with a rushed, chaotic effect, but nothing like before. I've two question. One, why would the Adderall just fail after five years of perfection, 10 mg/ 3X day? Different doses, Concerta, Ritalin, all about the same half-effect since then. Also, I've noticed the Strattera has an emotional calming effect, but visual/ attention chaos remains as untreated. It's literally hard to stare at a detailed object and keep it fixed, without staring into space, or track a moving object smoothly. It's been a week. How long should I wait?
