Most people who have genuine heart problems
actually dismiss it as something else ie. heartburn. The fact that you link it to the
AD means it may infact be this.

my first experience of effexor 37.5 gave
me a resting pulse of 120 bpm. It does
not do this for others. (this is because
it depends on your levels of neurotrasmitters before you take a drug)

If you get the feeling that it is the specific medication then change it, if not consider them panic attacks and again reasess your treatment.
Personally I would switch to an ssri just till you figure out what is what.
