In reply to Wellbutrin for ADD - Inattentive type, posted by essence on February 13, 2003, at 9:12:23
Hi,
My son is 19 and has just started (since Christmas)on Wellbutrin for ADD. This is his first time on medication. He was the one who figured out he had ADD-he has never had any behavior problems, only school problems chalked up to "lack of maturity". Wellbutrin has made an unbelievable difference in his life. After stumbling academically for years, he is making the A's in college that he was always capable of making in grade and h.s. but couldn't--he could never finish anything or remember to do it or find it again after he did it. We tried all kinds of behavior modification techniques, study skills classes, etc. but nothing helped him until this. He also has probably had this since birth. A quote from him: It's not that I was unhappy before, but I am SO happy now. He has had no problems with any side effects so far. Good luck with your son.
