A friend of mine has been on imipramine for 25 years now ... from age 40 to 65. Never once pooped out on her. She also has tapered off to try other meds, with no poop out upon return to the medication. She also drink 2 glasses of wine a night and no exercise.
It is just not fair ... some people break all the rules and still get better ... despite daily alcohol, no exercise and tapering off med ... oh and has a family history of bipolar disorder ... impramine has been strong for 25 years.
She has had to raise the dose thou ... started at 150mgs and now is up to 250mgs, but I think that is due to weight gain and lower serum levels.
