In reply to getting meds. . help!, posted by Sarah S on May 2, 2003, at 16:31:20
Sarah-why won't they help? Insurance reasons? They think you are faking it? Why? I am not familiar with your situation, so I don't know. I just had to set up an appt. with a therapist today. $20 a session. It's going to break me. But I know I will go absolutely nuts. Have you tried a community mental health? They go by your income. Or a church services? Hope it helps. : )
> somebody please help me, a few weeks ago my pdoc suddenly stopped prescribing ativan and after carefully rationing my remaining pills for the past few weeks (I didn't have enough to do a steady taper and the pdoc wouldn't help me) I have now run out, I have an appointment with a new pdoc for May 22 but the withdrawal has set in and I can't make it until then. All I want is something to make the withdrawal easier. I saw a doctor on my college campus and begged for Klonopin or Neurontin or ANYTHING that would make it easier, but all he would do was increase my Wellbutrin dosage (great drug, but it does NOT help with anxiety or panic attacks). I am going through hell on earth and I have to start a new job in a few days. I can't deal with this and I am going to kill myself if I can't find a doctor who will help me, but none of them will. I envy the heroin addicts because they get to have methadone when they withdraw, but those of us who get problems from withdrawing from our prescribed medications don't get shit!!! Is there anything that can help????
