Yes, i think a benzo could be quite helpful for your massive REM rebound-- help you to sleep more soundly and what not. But then again, maybe it's somehow good/beneficial to dream and go through REM sleep and therefore maybe it's good to catch up on some of your REM sleep. i dunno.
