I know you initially gained some pounds, but you said you were underweight from not eating enough when depressed. I am so close to trying Parnate and don't need weight gain to be an issue. Do you think you are more social with Parnate? I have mild social phobia tendencies and am hoping it will help with this. Most people say they lose weight while taking Parnate and I know that I am just the opposite. I started taking it on March 4 in the depths of depression, when I was badly underweight (118 lbs.) . It kicked in after 3 weeks and now I'm back up to 135, which is the optimal weight for my height (5 ft. 5 in.) I still have a ravenous appetite and weight is still climbing a bit. This is clearly a sign that I'm feeling a lot better. Remember that everyone reacts differently to every drug. There's only one way for you to find out how it will affect you. I can't speak about social phobia since that ordinarily isn't a problem.
